Advanced Media Productions

The purpose of this class is to teach students about multimedia and technology by engaging in real-world projects for their school and community. This is entirely a project based learning class. The “learn as you go method” focuses on the process of creating professional products, wether it is PSAs or promotional videos for non-profit agencies in Sacramento, websites for community groups or promotional materials for their school.

All of the technical knowledge is acquired throughout the completion of the projects as the students get a quick course on what it takes to run a successful graphic design and multimedia studio. While the class is an experiment in project based learning it has clearly defined goals and will run on weekly cycles and projects. Students will know the process of pre-production planning, scriptwriting, shooting, editing, post-production audio, post-production animation and video publishing as well as more traditional print projects.

This class is an R.O.P. course.
