Computer Graphics

The purpose of this class is to introduce students to the world of computer software as it relates to graphic design. Students will not only be able to use state of the art design programs, but they will also learn about the processes of creating professional work for business and entertainment purposes.

Because visual representation (in magazines, movies, the internet, newspapers, art, movies, TV etc) is so prevalent, the art of design has gradually acquired a privileged status in society. In this class students become a part of a special group of people who understand the art of design and have the technological skills to apply that knowledge.

The class involves creating magazines, flyers, business cards, posters, cd covers, blogs, websites, etc. The class will focus on both Technical and Aesthetic skills.

This course meets the CSU/UC Visual and Performing Arts requirement (F) and/or the College Prepatory Elective requirement (G). This class is an R.O.P. course.
